THE PERSISTENCE OF CRIME,
(PREMONITION OF CIVIL WAR), 2011

THE PERSISTENCE OF CRIME is based on two paintings
by Salvador Dali: The Persistence of Memory, 1931 and
Soft Construction With Boiled Beans (Premonition of
Civil War), 1936. THE PERSISTENCE OF CRIME echoes
visual and conceptual aspects found in both of these
works.

THE PERSISTENCE OF CRIME encorporates plastic toy
rifles commonly used by children that mimick in their play
the time worn application of aggression for resolving
conflicts.
